Front teeth are remarkably strong, but they can chip, crack (fracture) or break. This can happen in several ways:

• Biting down on something hard
• Being hit in the face or mouth
• Having thin front teeth, usually caused by a bad bite

When a front tooth chips or breaks, it may not hurt. However, because it’s a front tooth, most people want it treated immediately because everyone can see it.

At that appointment, we will assess the broken tooth, and when possible, fix the tooth the same day. Some fractures require more comprehensive treatment, and may require more than 1 appointment.
